How results are ordered: alphabetically by institution, or by most recently checked when you choose that sort. There is no price ranking, because tuition in different currencies, fee categories and bases (per year, per credit, whole program) is not comparable. A program appears under a subject only through a verified link (dedicated degree, major, concentration or documented pathway). A value we could not verify is shown as “not published”, never as “no”. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change verification or order. Online programs are not counted as physically located in a state or city, and an institution’s location does not tell you whether it enrols students from your country.
Digital arts is a broad field in which computers and digital tools are central to making visual and time-based work. Degree study may include digital illustration and painting, three-dimensional modeling, motion graphics, digital imaging, interactive and generative pieces, and the critical study of digital culture. Programs differ in how much they emphasize craft, concept or technology.
Students typically learn a range of software and workflows while building skills in drawing, composition and design. Projects may be screen-based or physical, and many programs encourage experimentation with code, sensors or emerging tools. Critique, contextual study and attention to ethics, authorship and access are standard, and final projects are often exhibited or published online.
Digital arts overlaps with new media arts, which tends to be more conceptual and cross-disciplinary, with animation and game art, which have defined production aims, and with graphic design, which is brief-driven communication. It differs from computing degrees, which are outside this directory. Institutions use the name differently, so program content should be read carefully.
Award titles. Digital arts is commonly studied within BA, BA (Hons), BFA or BDes programs and, at postgraduate level, MA, MFA or MDes degrees. Some countries offer research degrees including practice-based PhDs. Titles vary, so rely on the official program page.
Digital arts may appear as a degree title, a major or a concentration within fine arts, design or media. The directory lists a program under this subject only with a verified dedicated degree, major, official concentration or documented pathway.
Requirements differ for every program. Always check the official admissions page; this directory cannot guarantee acceptance.
Applicants to digital arts programs are often asked for a portfolio that may include drawings, digital work, design, photography or interactive projects. Programs generally look for visual thinking and creative range rather than mastery of particular software.
Requirements vary by country and program. Some ask for a set number of works, a design task or an interview, and some specify file formats or platforms. Postgraduate programs commonly expect a coherent body of work and a statement of intent.
Confirm formats, limits and deadlines on each official admissions page. Admission is never guaranteed, and no universal template applies.

At MFA and PhD level, funding in some programs may include teaching assistantships, lab or studio roles, research assistantships, tuition remission or competitive scholarships.
Terms vary by program, country and year, and many students receive partial or no support. Verify details directly with the program and funding bodies.
Costs beyond tuition. Students often pay for a capable computer, software subscriptions, tablets or other input devices, storage and sometimes printing or display hardware.
